This is very interesting. I'll most definitely read the docs and repository - thanks for sharing.

Great! If you can, please star our repo too and you can put any questions in the discussions section. I monitor it daily.

For sure brother - I starred and forked repository.

Great web app and congrats on the launch!

Feedback:

- Could you add a dark mode?

- Less is more as far as elements and components (e.g cards, buttons, ect...) in regard to the UI but that's IMO

- Add a feedback page?

Final notes:

- Keep going, talk to users, and have fun :)

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback and encouragement!

- Dark mode is on my to-do list!

- I agree regarding less is more and will keep it in mind regarding the ui elements.

- Feedback page is a great suggestion. I'll add that.

Feedback dialog is now available!

Interesting

Thanks for the feedback family! And right now it's in testing and I didn't develop the app on a mac nor do I have the funds to purchase an apple developer account. So, If you do have an iOS device you'll have to run the app through expo/expo go for right now. However, I do plan to solve this issue sometime this month.

Yo wassup family, thanks for the feedback. Right now it's a cross-platform app. I only have it on Google Play stores because I didn't develop the RN app on a mac nor do I have the funds to purchase a apple developer account at the moment. However, I do understand your point about having to much friction to download the app, and I'll address the issue some time within the coming weeks. The plan is to buy a mac or maybe a virtual machine kind of thing for mac OS.

I think you're misunderstanding my feedback. It should just be a web app. You'll never have a reason to create a native app if it's just a social network.

Some more feedback: it looks like you're promising Twitter with a technology/entrepreneurship focus. That's like telling someone you're building an apartment building that only software developers will move into. You have to actively moderate the discussion (HN is one of the most heavily moderated social networks, if not the most). So what you're really pitching isn't a software issue, it's two things that have nothing to do with software: A) acquiring users, and B) making sure that they only post within your topic.

Like most social networks, it's not a software challenge at all. The software part is easy. The challenge is marketing and moderation.

To take it one step further: you shouldn't even bother to write your own code for this, since there are now a ton of open-source Facebook/Twitter/Reddit clones available.

Ahhh I see, thank you for helping me shape my understanding. I will take note of what you've said.
