articles like this sound good until you realize that the grid often interconnects over multiple states. With pipeline infrastructure lacking. My guess is these gas plants are going to be built in states like Pennsylvania close to where gas is being produced. Easier to convert the shale gas into electricity closer to where it is produced.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the JnJ vaccine use the old vaccine technology compared to the newer Mrna vaccines?

It uses a different new technology - it's a "viral vector vaccine".

The truth though is that when the generous pandemic stimulus ends, the labor shortage will also end.

How then, do you explain the shortages in places it has been forcibly expired?

Robinhood is expected to go public (IPO) soon. What does everyone think of the company now? I was going to invest but now I'm having second thoughts on it. Seems like the brand has been permanently tarnished by this situation overall.

I guess this is timed to get it out of the way before the IPO.

I don't know whether Robinhood as a stock would be worth investing in (probably, but that's your decision to make).

As far as adverse press and reputation are concerned, these sorts of things only have a negative effect if they represent some kind of underlying/fundamental issue with the company.

Unless if you think that Robinhood will repeatedly be hit by regulatory fines, and that the fines or other actions are large enough to strongly impact their bottom line, the FINRA action probably isn't much of a factor.

So these new /r/wallstreetbets and related manaics are obviously going to burn piles of money going to war with the IPO.

Do you think the size of those piles of money is priced in? The size of the fear of the size of those piles of money?

The PR related stuff seems easier to figure out.

It's either a great idea or a terrible idea, and I can't tell.

I’m planning on selling put spreads to wallstreetbets once the options chain opens up

I live in So cal and this is a super good idea. What many people don't know is that the cities have been big advocates for building Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU). These are smaller homes that are basically built in people's backyards. It is seen as a way to increase housing units without doing any significant rezoning of traditional zoning.

I was looking on google maps satellite view and noticed that the vast majority of homes with large backyards do not have an ADU so the potential here for investment is pretty significant I would say.

We are also in a housing crisis and rents are soaring.

This law is simply guised as fighting "hate speech" but in practice it is designed to eliminate political enemies.

My opinion is to abandon these "traditional" parties and go back to the fundamentals of what makes a society free and prosperous. Then vote based on that.

Still happening today. Except we call it cancel culture instead.

This is something that authoritarian regimes do to eliminate their political enemies through color of law. They create vague laws that only get applied to their political enemies.

Really unfortunate to see this is the path Canada has gone.

The conspiracy nuts are crazy, I agree, but they are also opposed to oppression so they are our allies.

Be wary of the "divide and conquer" strategy when it is being used by oppressive regimes and various governments.

It's not a conspiracy, if they're really out to get you.
