As for not fitting people's ideals... Come to think of it, there's no way to satisfy conditions that are outside of my field of influence (I cannot stay forever young, for example) so I'll have to accept that and carry on.
But that's not a personal attack. The comment also mentions speculations about "rejoice" when they opened the Facebook graph, after believing what the article says about FB's methods of data sharing without further questioning.
Again: Questioning the motives behind an attempt of persuasion argument isn't a personal attack.
Opinions are opinions. They should be stated and treated as such.
Let's not generalize and remind to ourselves that there's a difference between a well-formed opinion and an uninformed opinion and those two are not equal just because they are opinions.
