hey dclara.
Actually we've tried that but put it on the side for the moment. Certain sites had iframe buster and it would swallow the whole page, which was irritating. Actually we solved that issue recently so we might as well get it back. Thanks for the tip!
That's great. I guess there might be some bumps. It's unbelievable to see that you have made the changes so quickly overnight?
Now when I search for "keyboard", I saw totally different thing from last night. This time, I do see the preview for each site instead of big pictures. But I cannot say it's better to see the vague website page is better than see the clear product picture. I'm sorry to downgrade your hard work. Maybe other users think it's better. I only speak my mind.
How about using <jsp:include> for each preview page? The code looks like:
<a href="#" onmouseover="javascript:showDiv('xyz_div');
<img title="Like to take a peek on the site? Click on it!" src="<%=asdf.gif %>"></img></a>
This code definitely will not work, but just a hint. Check out Google image, when you click on a certain image, it expends to the details of the image. But still different I know. The rest is your job. But don't be hurry. Let me know if you have an update or need more feedback, email danmark.clara -at- yahoo.com.
I am really proud to be a part of the winners.(Mathieu from Psykosoft) I wasn't expecting this at all!
There are some amazing talent amongst the other start-ups, there is no losers in this kind of event.
Everybody learnt (including myself) so much during the mentoring sessions that it is already what i would consider winning.
I am sure some guys there (i am thinking of Bipsly for instance) have a huge potential and will do great but eventually don't have a very mature product yet.
The constant i see in the 'winning' (i should say 'selected') start-ups is that they have a finished product and already quite a bit of traction, therefore qualify more in a logical investor mind to a 'funding'.
So it would be fairer to say the ones that "didn't win" just "didn't get selected for a funding" which happen all the time ;-)
That's rather odd you say this because i totally agree with you that users don't want to be aware of the UI and that is exactly why there is no tools everywhere one the screen like other softwares, so you can focus entirely on your artwork.
We made the choice of innovating in almost every aspect of this software (tools, UI, Design) and took some bold decisions that indeed the most conservative users might be not understand.
We are not named Psykopaint to do things the old-fashion way.
It's not the UI layout that is distracting to me... it was the visual gimmicks. For example, the UI draws so much attention to the pointer which is the representation UI representation of me. It was like the UI is telling the painter to look at the tip of his paintbrush or his arm instead of the canvas.

I understand you see it as innovation but not all existing conventions are bad and some of your bold choices may turn out to be not the best. I'm just offering you my critique. Take it or leave it; I won't be offended if you decide to leave it.
hi there! i am the creator of this software. Can you tell me which version of Chrome are you running so i can look into that.
If you have any suggestions regarding the UI in order to improve it, please do so! So i can make sure one day you'll dig this software ;-)
9.0.597.67 beta. I can't pinpoint exactly, but the animations were just too quick, and sometimes just something moved on the screen, but it was not immediately obvious what has happened.
interesting. Can you let me know which version of flash and safari are you using so i can have a look?
For some odd reason only safari makes problems. It was such an headache to already get the facebook integration because of their weird javascript handling policies... ;-)
I'm having difficulty reproducing the issue, though. The videos weren't loading either, so it's possible that clicking the close-box while buffering the tutorial video created a race condition or something. I hope that helps.
that's rather odd. Which version of safari are you using? And flash player 10.1 or 10.2 ?
But It could also be because you have javascript disabled. one of those. Please let me know. So it can be fixed!
