Awaiting the day when 'Patent Law 101' becomes a pre-req for Computer Science degree..

already there at my uni.

Agreed. Copyrighted content delivered solely via HTML5 has a long way to go. Proprietary runtimes controlled by large companies with DRM technology are currently the safest method (for copyright holders) to deliver that content to a paying audience.

In tech, there is no such thing as 'too big to fail'

With the technical talent at RIM, each cut job is a potential start-up competitor.

Hm, I was never aware Adobe even had a app store.

I think that was the problem...

Even with Launchpad, I still find myself defaulting to Spotlight to find/execute my apps.

I still use quicksilver. That's going to be a bit sad when I give that up. I use functionality in it that doesn't exist anywhere else, though.

I for one would love to see these replaced or complemented by a more OO syntax like:

[1,2,3]->push(..) [3,5,6,]->pop(..) [7,8,9]->map(..)

etc..

(Un)fortunately, depending on how you look at it, "everything is an object" is left out in PHP. I personally agree with having some non-object values (use one of the Spl* classes if you want something like that).

Nice try NSA..

leechblock has helped my compulsive reddit habit :/
