I guess channel messages are more likely to be missed than direct messages. This approach also helps the conversation flow through one person, rather than everyone having to see each response. Interesting idea!

What's VC/TC?

VeraCrypt / TrueCrypt

Definitely, it has not been used it a very long time - but I'll check with someone.

It's something I'd like to exist - and I have ideas on things to improve :D

I'm also be ok with building a bootstrapped business, whereas the original founders took the VC route.

It's a great/perfect name for what it is, and I really enjoyed their branding. Also it's basically the same idea - but that is definitely something I'm considering.

I liked Yik Yak. I haven’t heard that name in _years_, but have fond memories of the things I’d see people post there. I miss it
