The casting looks great. I am looking forward to this.

Toyota sells EVs. They sell the bZ3, bZ4, bZ5, bZ7, bZ3X, bZ Woodland, C-HR+, Lexus RZ, Lexus ES, and soon the Hilux EV.

The Lexus ES: https://electrek.co/2026/03/19/lexus-launches-es-ev-with-300...

They do, however they have been very vocal in their reluctance to invest in that strategy.

Toyota's strategy is working. They have been the best selling automaker for the last six years straight. Last year they had record sales:

As time goes on BEVs will make up a greater percentage of their sales.

As BEVs get cheaper and more practical demand will keep going up. Toyota will follow BEV demand.

What I said wasn’t a criticism, simply a fact.

I’m personally a huge fan of hybrids

The first automobiles were electric and they weren't American:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_electric_vehicl...

The most important component in an EV is the battery. The lithium ion battery made electric cars practical.

So you could say Sony invented the electric car industry by being the first to commercialize lithium ion batteries:

I suppose so. By that logic you could say that whoever invented the wheel invented the electric car industry. But I'd say it's definitely, overwhelmingly Tesla.

When the context menu in Windows 11 is aggressively worse than the context menu in Windows 10 I'm not sure what quality Microsoft is committed to.

Hiding most of the items by default and making it really hard to restore it! I had to try 3 different obscure methods to get the old context menu back.

Which just tells me what I already know - Windows is actively hostile to power users, and they should be on Linux. Leave Windows for the less technically confident who need that stuff hidden away.

Chuck Norris didn't have a near death experience, Death had an experience near him.

Commander Sam Vimes would like a word.

> "Chuck Norris actually died 20 years ago, but Death hasn't built up the courage to tell him yet."

Death finally worked up the nerve.

"The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book" (2009) https://www.google.com/search?q=The+Official+Chuck+Norris+Fa... re: Official Chuck Norris Facts #1 - #101 w/ scripture:

> #1: "Chuck Norris was bitten by a cobra, and after five days of excruciating pain ... the cobra died."

Of this list of martial arts films: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_martial_arts_films

Which are similar in plot and character arc to

"Man of Tai Chi"? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_of_Tai_Chi

Which Chuck Norris films are also similar?

> Forest Warrior, A Force of One, The Octagon, Forced Vengeance, Sidekicks,

Which "hacker films" are also similar?

Claiming to not be political is still playing politics.

There are three dates at the bottom of the page, presumably the dates it was published and updated.

But they're certainly not obvious.

> "AI was not built right first time around, so is being rebuilt from the foundations up"

So Tesla's recent $2 billion investment in xAI was a bad deal?

It looks a lot like a public company is being used to bail out a private one.

I'm pretty sure that all these acquisitions have been glorified accounting tricks in order to undo the damage that Musk did when he bought Twitter at an obscenely overvalued price in 2022. Clearly he didn't actually want Twitter at that price, because he tried to back out almost immediately after making the offer, so now he has his accountants do all this glorified money-shifting to effectively "sanitize" his purchase and recover his funds.

They sell everything you do on X. The product is you. Always has been, always will be.

It's how it works.
