Did not see anyone mention what’s available in Singapore yet:

https://www.nparks.gov.sg/treessg

And you can build on it too: https://exploretrees.sg/

This is diverging from the topic of trees quite a bit, but as a frequent visitor to SG from northern Europe, I'm always blown away by the people who can manage to do manual labour in jeans there! While I'm sweating in shorts and a light t-shirt just walking from the MRT to my destination.

Still just a blog that clearly needs a huge theme update? Heh, but it has collected fragments since January 2004, when I gave up hand coded HTML and doing an rsync on the diary.

MariaDB 10.1 is not a GA release, yet. When it goes GA, presumably this will also be available on RDS. Currently 5.5 & 10.0 are GA releases.

I've seen some usage in production of SphinxSE. If you find problems, why not ask at the http://kb.askmonty.org?

This isn't the most well thought out post. I can admit that having only 9 open tabs is annoying and it uses an arbitrary method of closing previously opened tabs (or lets call them new windows, because they're not exactly tabs). But I guess this is something we'll just have to live with.

Instapaper is an app that's about $5. It solves all my offline reading needs for me. I've never looked back since.

"MySql" ? Eh, call it MySQL!

With regards to energy, hacking on http://www.lesswatts.org/projects/powertop/ might be useful

With regards to disaster relief, Sahana is a good project to hop onto
