There's an even a freer alternative, not FOSS though.

It also allows connection to multiple calendars.

I think I have a similar path. I tried to do everything on my own and it’s just not possible. Now, I map out required skills and then I make a conscious choice of what to outsource or not.

You can find VA or specialist VA to help you with many things. Depending how much you are willing to pay, you can get a more experienced or managed individual.

That also helps you to manage your expenses. For instance, you probably read of people using VAs from the Philippines. Try that out.

Reddit kind of comments :)

It's a weed article. We don't have to be serious all the time on HN :)

Which hosting company are you referring to?

From his profile:

> Cofounder and former MD of Bytemark, a British hosting company.

Depending on the size and brand, it's price is similar to "smart TVs". The bigger ones are costlier.

Of course, after all smart TVs have an ongoing revenue stream from ads and analytics. Despite having more capabilities, Smart TVs are also regularly cheaper than equivalent "dumb TVs".

Smart TVs are also regularly cheaper than equivalent "dumb TVs".

Only if you don't value quality.

A did a price comparison about a year ago, using Best Buy and B&H. The plain display panels from B&H were either the same, or only marginally more expensive than the equivalent "smart" televisions from Best Buy.

People on HN too often parrot that Vizeo CEO's claim that his TVs are only cheap because of all the spying they do. While true, it only holds up in you're interested in watching a Vizeo-quality TV.

I just use Zoom with Chrome via browser. No need to install it.

I only use Zoom with chrome (because I don't allow their apps anywhere near me) and they are just barely usable there.

They made that very hard by pushing their desktop app. They also broke audio on Linux very often. Another long running bug is that after you've muted yourself in the meeting for long enough they start to think you did not give them microphone access and refuse to let you unmute yourself.

At least if there's a zombie outbreak, I'd go to Kitsault for refuge.

Because there's a pub?

Have a pint at the Winchester and wait for all this to blow over.

And crucially, no humans which would turn into zombies.

More crucially, no competition for beer refills.

A lot of people from HN have no CS or engineering background and we can still make a living in the tech world in technical fields.

I think more people should be encouraged to try and jump into tech career if they have the time and resources and encourage them to do; salaries are higher and demand for talents are still pretty high. It can be a life changing experience.

Stop bitching if the OP is a jr / developer or whatsoever. He got a tech job anyway. We should clap for him not be pedantic about it.

Is the helium recoverable?

As the balloon is completely gone in the video as the capsule descents, implying detachment, probably not.

Compressing the Helium instead of venting it would require extreme amounts of energy, right? Could that even work, in theory? A Space-U-Boat? :D

This CNBC article[1] touches on it a bit too, especially (scarce) Helium Vs (dangerous) Hydrogen.

The prevalent question, upon which the externalities here capitalism simply cannot not assess. If this ever "took off," it would cause great havoc & destruction for many many real needs.

I think it’s more guaranteed to get the original book content from http://b-ok.org/ then from Amazon. It’s like we are back to the time when piracy has better offers than “official” channels.

How could this had happened?
