That state funded radio station has 4,7% of the market share. Thanks to that censor action the song became very popular in other stations and YT.

In Ruby on Rails one can add just one line of code to achieve the same result.

  class User < ActiveRecord::Base
    has_paper_trail
  end
That solution is good enough for most use cases and doesn't require highly skilled architects and developers to implement Event Sourcing properly.

As a long time Android user I bought in May iPad Mini for CPU speed, high DPI screen and OS updates. I was shocked to learn that it was impossible to increase the text size in Safari. So I wasn't using my iPad Mini as often as I intended. After OS upgrade a few weeks ago you finally can increase the text size. Only in Safari, Brave and Chrome are not yet updated.

However I often read web / watch YT lying on the bed so I have to lock the screen orientation. And to switch from portrait do landscape mode you have to: 1. open quick settings 2. toggle lock screen orientation 3. close quick settings 4. position iPad correctly so sensors cen detect orientation and switch screen mode 5. open quick settings 6. toggle lock screen orientation 7. close quick settings

Huawei recently added a feature to EMUI which automatically sets correct screen orientation using a selfie camera. I hope that Apple will copy that feature. But how many years it will take?

Car companies develop platforms on which they build many different models. For example in VW cars you can find exactly the same parts in Golf, Touran, Passat, Tiguan and many other models.

All these 3 separate plains probably could share 90% of parts, software, avionics, that VR helmet, etc. Having fewer constraints it would also simplify the plane body design.

Just image car engineers are asked to design one car to replace off-road, city and van cars. Even Elon Musk did not come up with that idea.

Regarding housing problem in the US, well known here on HN patio11 has a simple solution: build homes [1]. Does this mean that he is a populist? Or do politicians just call themselves left-wing or right-wing, and in reality both of them represent the interests of landlords, as the article suggests?

I don't known which articles and columns you read. But I am from this European country with rising populism. In my opinion, things are going in a better direction than in the times of non-populist government. The current government fulfills promises and pays broad social benefits, but at the same time this populist government has reduced the budget deficit.

> thanks to Poland and Czech Republic's love of coal

Do you really think that people in these countries _love_ burning coal? Does this attitude help solve the problem?

Poland does not have nuclear power plants, therefore it has a bigger problem with the reduction of CO2 emissions than other countries. In addition, Poland has no conditions to produce energy from wind and solar in the winter. Sometimes when I read such comments, I would like Poland to present a plan to buy nuclear power technology from Russia (RBMK-1000 reactors) and to put it along the western border, 50 km from Berlin.

PS. Please take into account that in Poland there was no industrial revolution and that is why over the last 150 years Western countries have emitted much more CO2 into the atmosphere.

Greece and Ireland (and I think Italy) don't have nuclear either.

More difficult it may be, but no excuse for dragging feet or voting against EU action. Action that's far too little and too vague anyway. If it's any consolation I am equally critical of my own country's dire lack of adequate progress.

RBMK 1000?! The same model as Chernobyl. No thanks.

I think they fixed it...

Still, an AP1000 would be preferable.

How does an RBMK reactor explode? It doesn't. You worry to much.

Why is nobody talking about Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo? They have majority of Indian market. Together with Huawei they might create an alliance and create a Chinese fork of Android.

If they give access to intel data to other countries then it can be a competitive offer compared to Google Android.

So war with Iran is inevitable? Even if majority of Americans don't support it?

It's not inevitable. In the Iraq war a few senators and reps voted against it. Now we should have tremendous better sense of evidence can be faked, the impact in America and other countries. Most? A lot? Of Dems would vote against war, a few Republicans. This is just John Bolton, Trump not paying attention. It's terrifying. What if he lets some provication kick it off. Really the same thing could happen with China or Russia. I never thought I'd feel so sad about the state of my country. But you know, 1938 looked a lot worse. Germany, Japan, great depression.

> Spotify seeks to keep all the benefits of the App Store ecosystem

How about ISPs? Maybe they also should get 30% commission from all music downloaded through their networks?

After reading Steve Job biography I read now the Jony Ive book. And I must say that the current Apple has no taste. Taste in terms of whole product function and coolness. It looks like industrial product designers and greedy people took over the company. Do they really have to squeeze each dollar from customers and app developers and destroy their magic brand? How they are now different from Exxon Mobil or Louis Vuitton?

I would say this is ordinary politics, an obvious calculated provocation we see every day.

What is surprising is a such dump FB reaction. Why such inteligent people make such dump moves? Are they really that arogant? Maybe that arrogance is caused by revenue increases after all these scandals. Maybe they treated politicians in the same way for many times, but in other countries.

It seems likely that no human decision resulted in this move. Instead, the take down may have been automated due to the used of the FB logo in the ad. If Warren's campaign knew this policy of such removal existed, then the entire setup was just that- a setup. The ad was placed in bad faith, but there was no bad faith self-interest on the part of FB in taking it down, just the appearance of such.
