Problem:

Current renewable energy sources will not be enough to solve our high energy demands and due to the constraints being put on oil and gas there is an impending energy crisis (data in the URL below)

Hypothesis:

Advances in geothermal, especially with governmental backing, can help alleviate the high energy demands in a sustainable way. The deeper we go the more energy solutions we create.

Geothermal advances such as lateral drilling and fracturing were created in 1900s but have not been economically viable till recently. As the energy crisis gets worse geothermal technology will become more economically reasonable.

Interesting take on goethermal as possible solution but I'm curious how feasible from engineering standpoint and what are the risks associated?

I think most investors see it more as a store of value, compared to fiat, and more scarcity, transportability and accountability than gold/hard assets.

Shit wrong youtube vid. Here is the correct live cast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5bTbVbe4e4

Kevin Kelly, when the creative director at Wired, said something similar about choosing which stories to write about. He would never write a story himself until a topic had been passed up by too many writers that it began to frustrate him.

This might not help post-diagnosis but maybe will help a lot of people in the future. As they say the best type of care is preventative care.

Dealing with the diagnosis and treatments/surgery is indeed tough physically and psychologically.

Physically it's important to understand how to deal with things day to day. Article is on nutrition post-diagnosis from John Hopkins. http://pathology.jhu.edu/pancreas/TreatmentNutrition.php?are...

Psychologically the whole team (family/friends/practitioners) need to be on the same page and transparent. http://www.kevinmd.com/blog/2013/03/fine-balance-hope-cope-c...

Patrick Swayze had this condition and despite his prognosis filmed a movie and did his own stunts.

There's a saying that I heard recently that seems applicable here:

Happiness is an emotion; joy is an attitude.

not only is it important to have "emotional intelligence" with others but will save you a lot of headaches with family relations
