"The average ancient historian led troops, tutored a prince, governed a province, advised a king, made a fortune, fell from favor, was exiled, and buried 7 of their 10 children. The average modern historian passed a few tests then wrote a book on their laptop next to their cat." so good!
PNANA was originally developed simply to serve as a replacement for nano on Linux. It comes with a host of out-of-the-box editing features, and our development was primarily inspired by Marco and Nvim.
yeah, this is true. I really miss many of the early day startups I was part of. But leaving my well paying remote job to chase that isn't something I can do anymore. Hoping to re-create the best of both worlds but we'll see...
Hey again - quick update: I’ve just shipped a no-login “try it out” mode based on your feedback.
You can visit the site again and start writing immediately without creating an account.
Appreciate you calling it out.
I made it account-based mainly because the writing is autosaved and tied to a single surface, and I wanted people to be able to come back to it later without exporting or managing files.
That said, I completely get the hesitation. A no-account “scratchpad” mode is something I’ve thought about, and feedback like this helps me decide what to build next. I will get to work on this and let you know when finished :) Appreciate you calling it out.
I really miss those sounds. Learned so much about all the different frequencies. No to get too woo-woo but did you know each tone is actually two frequencies a high and low one?
The video above shows dialing either LOVE or FEAR. Not sure where this app is going but I had this idea to help catch myself whenever I'm following fear vs love.
