What nonsense - it is number 27 on the new list right now.

But is not on "ask" section (was number 1). And has been on main page as well... Same with my other posts.

Why should it be on the front page? The only new (low current score) item on the front page at the moment is the story about the BBC and net neutrality. If that does not continue to pick up votes then it will quickly drop off the front page as well. New items get a very short life - they prove their worth or have to wait for interest to build more slowly.

I have no idea who voted. I just submitted link to HN. And has not asked about upvotes anywhere.

From my experience it is enough it voted in so short time period as it was.

Thanks for reply. I think it would be to easy if anyone could flag post to be removed without checking by moderator. And most probably it is not the reason.

It gives me a lot of feedback and help from community and increases my revenue from other sources (ads).

It looks that some moderators do not like me. This post was on the main page and suddenly disappeared like many of my previous ones... Little not fair... Thanks...

It's at #12 now. The ranking algorithm is very sensitive to early votes, so a few votes in the first hour or so can make a noticeable difference in where the story ranks.

Out of curiosity, why is this your best day job? What things do you look for in a job? Do you enjoy the work, or is the goal to make a decent salary with as little work as possible?

Congratulations for reaching your goal ! . I've been following your series since they started, and they give me hope for starting out on my own.

I'm stuck in a job I've grown to hate, and I've set my own goal to quit in April (with a small economic cushion while I start my own freelancing career).

While I don't think I'll do any Android development, your posts give me some insight on what you can do with effort.

I have been in very similar situation. Hated my day job and boss. But as you may see you can change it. There is a lot of money in online development. Not only Android.

I am really glad for you. I've been reading your posts since day 1 and it seems that you are doing better as time passes.

What I would like to know is how much you save per month and how much you spend. Are you saving aside some money for the future (in case of a rainy day)?
