> I use Python daily

This does not add anything to your argument, if you’re doing low velocity development and manage to remember all the best practices that ought to be followed, then fine. But if you have to do CI/CD like I have to, uv is a revelation. Just works out of the box and fast.

> There's a dangerous trend I've noticed with GenZ, they're quick (sometimes to the point of seeming rushed) to show off hyperbolic-sounding achievements that are mostly hot air

Isn’t it true for every so-called edge that CEOs pitch to shareholders?

Not sure about this, AI hasn’t managed to build software on a medium scale or larger.

To the OP, be proud that you’re brave enough to share this. I live in one of the 3 countries bordering Cambodia, and yes I have been called by scammers and managed to ignore them every single time. A political solution is a must if the world even intends to solve this growing pain, with the end of Cambodia as a country a good solution. Until then, be vigilant and advise others to be as well, and keep pillaging Cambodia whenever an opportunity arises. I always refer to them as Scambodia in daily conversations, gaining popularity myself for that.

Did you make this up? HN user base wasn’t going to change that fast in a year. And given that HN was left-leaning before Trump, I’d say it to be neutral at most now.

Go to the dead and flagged and see what is flagged...and you will understand.

I’m on the fence on this matter however they need to look at other actions of fellow big companies, for equality under the laws.

I’d love alternatives that work well, but having used the said Chinese ones, I got no choice but to stick to the behemoths. Telegram may eat a bit into the messaging dominance, but that’s it.

Tracey seems to me to be a dishonest broker that is paid to promote anti-interventionist and related agenda

Unlike books, which are massively overpriced, this will hurt artists a lot as they need the fees paid by Spotify to make ends meet.

I don't think so. Streaming services are used for convenience. Torrenting and managing music at this scale is inconvenient.

Distributing these huge torrents is the perfect way to avoid any real damage to artists while being invaluable to preservation of culture.

Anyone using DRM/paracopyright to "make their ends meet" deserves what they get. This is de facto theft from the public domain.

I hate spotify as a company but I agree, at least in my case, a large share of my wife's income comes from spotify.

The post is about his opinions.

reads more like propaganda.
