I think one of the underrated things that Bryan does is he regularly emphasises how central sleep needs to be in your health. I haven't heard that consistant message drilled in by anyone else and it helped me realise how a lot of the things i found difficult to recruit energy/discipline/motivation were related to the low priority I placed on sleep.
I would offer an alternative to music - painting. It’s creative from the first brush stroke and requires as much practicing as you feel like. In a lot of our lives, professional and personal, we do a lot of study and repetition. Having something where you can create without that burden can allow the imagination time to flourish.

They want to maintain a ‘high bar’ but are too ‘frugal’ to make the basic effort to bring someone onsite. All the while trying to pretend they still have a culture beyond squeezing as much work out of people as possible.
