67% more pixels than 4K. That's certainly more than expected!

Bear in mind, though, that the working resolution will probably be 2560 x 1440. The quality and definition will be probably outstanding too.

I don't get it, do I have to pay you for this service? It's not at all clear from the website.

Hi Morgan! The curation is free, handling estate agent calls, including arranging viewings, is paid after a 2 day trial (£9.99 for 2 weeks). This will allow you to simply click "Arrange viewing" and we'll take over.

The free version will simply show you the agency details, and you will have to call yourself during their working hours.

First, let me say that you've done great! Not giving up after your first and second year, seeing it through till this moment. Congrats dude :)

Thanks! It was tough but well worth it. Had (still have) a wife and a newborn to support, so you can imagine I was working night and day for a long time to get our dreams realized.

Personally, I appreciate the fact that it was read rather than recited. This made it easier to interpret the message as I understood it. Theatrical motivational speeches have the opposite effect on me. So it was perfect.

I agree -- artificially injecting enthusiasm into a speech draws more attention on the speaker and turns it into some sort of performance, and can detract from the message.

Another person there commented to me afterwards, "yeah that was a great speech, but I just wish it had more energy, if it did it could have gone viral!" But this person was from California... I think different regions are calibrated to different communication styles, and to someone calibrated to a reserved European temperament (wherein "enthusiasm" often is auto-encoded as "insincere" or "silly") the delivery was perfect :)

I have to give credit for the idea of the article to Bret Victor. I think it was his "stop drawing dead fish" presentation during which he mentioned algebra and geometry as just different views for mathematics.

I don't agree with the comments that the site looks bad. For one, the font is amazing! The layout is extremely clear and functional, a lot of carefully crafted details make this site very polished. Thumbs up!

Totally agree. Of course it has the standard trendy animations-as-you-scroll, but they aren't actively annoying, and once you get past the landing page everything is extremely clearly presented. I think this product looks terrific.

I think the overall design does looks great; very polished and well done. Although I will admit, the background is a tad retina burning at night on a bright screen (at least for me).

Did you know that a parabola could be understood as an ellipse, with one focal point at infinity? I didn't before today, who knows what I will find out next. One thing's for certain - I do want to work on making knowledge=power more accessible to all. Khan Academy is one place I'd love to help out, edX.org is another. If you're working on making knowledge accessible - I'm interested.

I found this in the comment thread under the recent post on writing a kernel. I think it was Terry himself that put up the link there. The amount of work and knowledge required to do what he did is just astonishing.

Oculus has been one of the most forward looking companies to hit the scene recently. This acquisition shows that Mark is well able to look far into the future. Personally, I find this as a very good sign, since we now have Google and Facebook as two giants unafraid of taking the lead. The more, the better, because it seemed for a time with Apple out of the game, it would be Google alone at the forefront.

It's sort of like being omnipresent, how could it not be intriguing. One thing that's missing - live 3D footage viewable with your Oculus Rift... One can dream.
