Curious if anyone has experience with this or how it compares to alternatives. I know I will be needing something similar in the near future and this seems to be roughly what I need..
Of course you could, but if it was indeed vibe-coded in a weekend, why wouldn't you want to start from scratch to make sure everything is up to your standards (especially security)?
I'm definitely not going to jump in on a vibe-coded project. I'd much rather start from scratch if I found the use-case to be relevant.
Not to say vibe-coded projects can't be alright. If the engineer behind it knows their stuff, it's fine to me. But we don't know that. So to get a general idea, I think it's fair to ask how this was done.
Same here. There was something feeling so obviously off with Don't Look Up.. for me at least. Idiocracy did not suffer from this.. but Mike Judge is somewhat of an acquired taste I guess.
I never saw it but Scott Alexander's review made it sound like the writers of Don't Look Up were themselves idiots, who wanted to send a political message but couldn't figure out how to do it properly.
Just this morning, going in for my regular cleaning at the dental office, I was not greeted by a receptionist, rather by some screen which allowed me to "check myself in"... It broke me. I am done with overpaying any business which charges premium prices and lacks the decency of not making me talk to a retarded machine.
I walked out, will gladly pay the invoice (48 hour cancellation policy!) and never go there again.
I just onboarded and was dumbfounded that they do not allow for proper calendar exposure other than a fully public link! The claim of zero knowledge is super cute, for those that need it, but I need a provider which allows me to integrate the calendar elsewhere, as those will not magically move into Proton. I guess I am not in their target market.
Only need Windows occasionally but only use it in a VM nowadays, using Win11 LTSC / IoT with massgrave.dev activation. Of course that is as a private person, not a company. Employees remain screwed.
Unfortunately for making and spending my money, I am forced to have a phone. Either Android or Apple. I need my authenticators for work, banking apps etc. Will consider graphene os, not sure if it supports all the things I need. Otherwise I will get the cheapest iphone, only install required stuff and get a nice small laptop to carry around. Unfortunately I need to be reachable by phone (elder care) and dumb phones I think do not support authenticators/banking apps?
