A decent number of redditors moved to Lemmy instances after reddit pulled that move with the API/unofficial apps a few summers ago

It felt like the Lemmy instances really died off in a month or two.

Some did, others are thriving. Still a small community though.

Taking advantage of an extra that wasn't charged to the customer?

Ah, that's a classic "use after free" vulnerability.

Or my boss letting us know there will be a TEAMS meeting.

Well, I am old enough to still see William Penn...from the 1680s.

You don't look a day over 200.

Get your tech! You can probably learn from the flash cards in an hour or less.

"Have you ever seen a commie drink a glass of water?"

Any openings for a 40-something career-changing educator?

I would suggest you contact karpathy and not randoms who posted/commented this

There is a "high tech middle school" with his namesake in Boca Raton, FL, next to the former 1960s IBM R&D complex.

Reading Boca Raton reminded me, they used the names of cities close to the offices for the internal names for products. I co-oped at IBM in Austin in the late 1980s and we tested the new models of PC Jr/Portable/PS2/peripherals and the internal codenames were stuff like Boca Raton and Cedar Key (which none of us got until our boss told us) but I can no longer remember which was which anymore.

Well, TIL. When I see a school named after someone who is not widely famous I assume they were an educator or politician.

Alonzo Mourning and his ex-wife have a North Miami HS named after them.

I've been using Slack /feed (ugh) to get RSS notifications because I want pings from certain feeds. I have not found a different, easy lightweight way to do this.

Even more useful once your MIDI files are organized.[0]

SON, YOU KNOW THOSE MIDI FILES AREN'T SORTED!

Was glad to see this already here. Never before - or since - has the Tulley Toggle found a more appropriate use.
