Looks promising. I liked the design of the home page with the vintage black and white picture. I thought it was a nice touch (and just to be clear I don't know anyone behind this project).

Thanks for the kind words! I'm one of the co-founders and I'm happy to see that you appreciate the design..

I'd love to see someone build a similar script that can also work with desktop applications like Eclipse or creative tools like Photoshop so we can with one click switch between project without having to close / open files and applications. There's a good chance there's something out there like that, if so I'd live to know about it, and if not it might be a cool thing to have. Thanks!

One of the startup companies I used to work with was called Cupcloud (http://cupcloud.com). If you're OK with a cloud app, it can support Photoshop and Illustrator

Eclipse has mylyn, is that what you're thinking?

Reading "However, in jobs that involved fewer emotional demands, the results reversed. The more emotionally intelligent employees were, the lower their job performance." - I think that's a good example for seeing that not everything in should be about work :) My sense is that folks with higher EQ in those kinds of jobs, even if they don't perform as well as others, still enjoy and live life to a greater extent. Sadly, my EQ is pretty average, so this is really my way of saying that from my experience people with higher EQ we're more successful (or least happier) because of their ability to relate to others, and gain if not additional money or financial success, at least friendship and better relationships. Just my two cents.

I know it's hard for companies to admit it when they make mistakes / fail, but I think it's important that they do. There's always the risk of litigation etc.. but I think that at the end of the day, given that you can't undo the past, it's always best to come froward and apologize. I know it's talking from the sidelines, and there are probably a lot more considerations that go into it, but as a consumer I do feel better about a company that fails and then takes responsibility for it.

I don't think Snapchat has admitted to any mistakes. What they have said is they are sympathetic to users who have had their data stolen by hackers.

They are using the word sorry in the "we are sympathetic" sense, not the apology sense.

Sorry you feel that way. Sorry your kid got sick. Sorry your car got broken into. The classic non-apology apology.

I think the article raises / highlights a great point. When you're trying to hire the most talented folks out there, making that effort of integrating the team, be it the CEO, VP R&D or any of the engineers in the process makes a strong statement in my mind that a company is really interested in you and that you're not being carpet bombed by email. That in itself creates a slightly stronger sense of good moral obligation from the side of the candidate to respond, as he feels that there's a "real" person on the other end, but also that this company is making a real effort. The fact that they incorporate engineers into this, is also something to would send a strong signal (at least to me) that this is a company worth checking. My two cents at least.

I find it pretty interesting that object-c it ahead of C++. Even given iOS/OSX tremendous weight in the world of mobile and Mac, it still seems hard to believe that is has overtaken C++, a language that's been around for so long and is the basis of so many systems across so many OSs. Or it might be that I'm just being sentimental here...I'd love to hear other folk's take on that
