Employees as "resources" I've heard of, but employees as displacement or maybe even ballast? Damn! That's a new one by me.

That's not how it works in practice. If anything, it pre-filters the next group of haters so you don't have to deal with them in the future, but it also lines up the sensible people.

Oh, this is something.

Lots of little avatars, right?

This is probably for the best. Actual engineering (and actual engineers) and Lyft are two very different animals.

Go back in time on Street View and you'll see it was a Conrail family assistance center (?)... so maybe they used that to talk to the trains. Look at the elements on that tower and looks an awful lot like stuff I've seen out the window of a train. Little rectangular bow-tie looking things, mounted so their long axis is up-down.

Yes, those look like folded dipoles for VHF, which is the band railroads use.

2009 leaked. Tweeted while most of us were still in line. Still got the screenshot.

<name> One thousand dollar impromptu cash bonus. I work for Google!!

... October 16th. Dumb.

Thanks Randy!

2009 was both. Cash a few months before, N1 right before Christmas.

Say nothing. Drop off your stuff and walk. Easy.

It makes me wonder why that DNS server is being that way. Switching away from it just sidestepped the issue.

You could probably record the band with a SDR from another location and just replay it on a loop. Both time and space measurements would be affected.

But you really don’t want to do this in any way that could possibly leak out. You will make a bunch of connections you never wanted to make.
