If you have the need to paste long documents, why don't you just upload the file at that point?

The last time I checked (a few days ago) it only had an "Upload Image" option... and I have been playing with Gemini on and off for months and I have never been able to actually upload an image.

It's basically what I've come to expect from most Google products at this point: half-baked, buggy, confusing, not intuitive.

It definitely has the ability to upload normal files, the + button has several options.

If you don't have it, you might be in a Google feature flag jail-- this happens frustratingly often, where 99.9% of users have a feature flag enabled but your account just gets stuck with the flag off with no way to resolve it. It's the absolute worst part about Google.

Because sometimes the text is the result of my whisper transcription.

Friction.

Claude automatically uploads it as "Pasted text" if it is too long that you paste into the textarea. Works either way anyways.

Google already automatically backs up secrets to your Google Account

What could possibly go wrong.

This is industry standard now. "Your security is very important for _us_". (and for the companies they work with, and for the 3 letter agencies they work with)

Keep in mind that Zeta office runs completely in the browser with WASM while the thing you provided runs on a server and just streams back and forth to the client.

I think that is a great description for the things that Todepond (the person who made it) does

I'm currently working on an I Am Sober alternative, being a habit/impulse tracker called Rewire. It's written in Golang + HTML + Bulma CSS. It sends out notifications check-ins via ntfy at the time you set when making the habit. It keeps track of streaks, and I hope to gamify it in some way. I've been working on it for a few weeks, and I hope to have it done soon. It'll be free and open source, but I'm not in the position to open source it yet.

I've recently been working on SparkShell: https://sparkshell.dev

It's an online development platform similar to other things like Replit, but it's mainly for static site hosting. You can create projects and make custom subdomains for them. You can add libraries to your project in a click of a button, so you don't have to add scripts or CSS files to every single file of yours. I've recently been doing a lot of work on it and I hope to launch it pretty soon.

The author said that they scripted sending the messages to those numbers on their Mac rather than using something like Twilio.

That’s after screening to see if the number was linked to iMessage —- ie a valid iPhone attached to the number. That’s what that lookup service did. Then they scripted messaging the numbers that worked.

Yes, and after screening they had 84 recipients to contact.

I love this.

Supposedly 0/0 is zero. Good to know from now on.

What all can the "AI Assistant" do?

I want it to be able to receive command to resend and modify a request

but I will never get it into launch if all I thinking is to add more features

so currently it's only providing related information of inspected request to the chat session, so our user don't manually copying context again to a chatgpt or similar.

> This platform is so undesirable that you'll literally lose dates over it.

If someone can't deal with the fact I have Android phone, I'm not dating them. People have personal preferences and reasons to use one phone manufacturer over the other. I love my Pixel 6a because I've used the interface and gotten used to it for most of my life. I'm also a developer. I've heard developing for iOS is hell. I can make an Android app on my Framework Laptop in Golang and I can sideload and keep the app on my phone forever. It won't go away after 7 days requiring me to do it again.
