Oh brother, gas goes up in a hurry, it takes its sweet time to come down.

The way I recall things, in 2022 they took half the year to go up and were back to normal by the end. The statistics I can easily find corroborate this.

what piracy sites is gallery-dl linking to?

I do not want to promote them here, but if you read the linked github thread you will see the names of what extractors were deleted.

Wait a second... By the view you're espousing right now, doesn't that make this conversation "illegal"? Why aren't we filing DMCA takedowns to HN because the list of the naughty sites is at the top of the page for this very thread?

This seems like turtles all the way down.

Through the DCMA lens, does a tool having the ability to download from example.com = linking to example.com?

In this case the files you could view on github literally had links directly to copyrighted works. It was not just that it was compatible with pirate sites.

Where? I looked at a copy from March 16, and I only saw placeholders like 12345 and 12345/67890abcde in the files mentioned in the issue

Look in the test vectors and you will see ones that are not for generic ids.

Freecad never really clicked with me. Tried it most recently in 2023 and the user experience just didn't make sense to me. My impression was that freecad is one of those projects were things have been a certain way for a long time (UX/UI wise I mean) and it works for those people so it will never change. For my small cad usage I just went with onshape.

My experience is similar, except that I gave up and did OpenSCAD (now PythonSCAD) and am trying Dune 3D.

"To carry out the scheme, SMITH created hundreds of thousands of songs with artificial intelligence and used automated programs called “bots” to fraudulently stream his AI-generated songs billions of times, in an effort to mimic the genuine streaming activity of real consumers. SMITH pled guilty today to conspiracy to commit wire fraud before U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl."

He made $8 million from royalties which he agreed to pay back.

From what I've read, gold was being bought as trust in the dollar was falling and also as a hedge against inflation. I haven't seen anything in the world recently that convinces me that inflation is going down and that trust in the US govt is recovering.

So I am confused as to why the precious metals have sold off so aggressively. I see there's a private credit problem going on too, wonder if they're related and part of the sell off is due to investors being forced to sell what they can (gold) as opposed to what they want to sell (private credit investments)

We keep going down the wrong direction. We need more energy self-sufficiency. More investment in solar and wind.

Would love to see a quick video demo showcasing the features, look and feel of the software. The same team made horizon eda, and I wasn't able to find videos on youtube about it that were newer than 2022, so I never gave it a shot either.

Just watched this the other day: https://youtu.be/T1VNpC0nwF4?si=T9XDd2_2sY0BaBFZ

Will Zuckerberg swoop in to buy all those properties?

You are one lazy bastard.

Your current level of engagement and proactive contribution doesn't quite align with our high-performance culture and operational excellence standards.

Firefox not supported and you want to see my local files right away? Nope, not trying this shit.
