Ironically, it seems that this only happens when you are within service.
Another commenter speculated that when you're out of service, the software correctly identifies that there is no tower to connect to and stops trying. But when you're in service, the code repeatedly tries to do the 3G handshake because it can see a valid tower.
I don't understand what's this about actually. You can't just go around accusing people of being rapists without evidence. And if there's evidence, go to the police. What's so special about the hacker community to especially have "problems" in this area?
Also, he quotes some US studies about 1% of rapist being convicted IN THE US and then argues about some even in Berlin. Justice system isn't the same worldwide and I guess its effectiveness would vary.
