Agree with the article. I’m increasingly jaded by the state of the web.

Something that has been happening for a long time on iOS Safari that I only recently realized: pinch to zoom on sites like Reddit, instagram, shopping sites, and many others cause what I’m calling “website seizures.” Where I try to zoom in and half the time the page reloads completely or triggers a reload but ends up throwing an error.

Ouch! Netscape 4.7 reloaded...

Add pre-enshittification and that covers the trifecta of doom were in.

Last I checked it was Ember. That was several years ago though.

They updated Podcasts and Music to Svelte in the last couple of years.

Will it ever be?

Not like a cable, but it's gotten really bad. I had constant drops on my iPhone 14 Pro. Eventually they shipped me a new one that had the same issue, but the recent software update fixed it almost 100%, like 1 drop/month instead of 10 daily.

Then I bought an iPhone 16 Pro and it was even worse than my iPhone 14 Pro... so I returned it even though I wanted a new phone.

It's gotta be affecting their bottom line.
