I would recommend taking the time to read the article. If you did read it you would find the entire post to be 100% accurate.

"It has almost been a year without anything new from this start-up and no signs of life from within the company."

That article discussing the new company to which the founders of Versionate have gone. That is _not_ an article about Versionate, the company, nor their product. On the Internet, if you do nothing for your product, say nothing about the product or company for almost a year, that is effectively a dead company.

That article discussing the new company to which the founders of Versionate have gone.

Wrong. It's the same company. They just launched a new product called Zecter.

I think it's the title here that PG is alluding to.

Nice article (I like your style)... it would be better if people referred to semantic web technologies as technologies and facilitators of other applications, not as the abstract, "future" concepts. I address many of these on my blog -- you may find some of my MI topics interesting/applicable.

I use pbwiki; free personal version; has all the features i need; wysiwyg, data backup, fairly simple UI

I really like versionate -- but it is still missing some critical features -- I am keeping a close eye on it and hope they eventually do the needed upgrades.

This is a topic I frequently discuss on my blog. I think you may be saying something similiar/same when you refer to your concept of hybrid as I state with respect to the trend of Modular Innovation. Check it out and let me know... http://tpgblog.com/2007/12/06/modular-innovation-101/
