That sounds like a neat idea. Reminds me on SoundFont.

But isn't Midi the equivalent to SVG, Wave the equivalent to BMP, Flac to PNG and MP3 the one to JPEG?

> But isn't Midi the equivalent to SVG

MIDI (1.0) is more equivalent to NES/GameBoy-style sprites. It was designed almost exclusively with piano-like keyboard controllers in mind, suffers from a lot of 80's-era hardware limitations, heavily biased towards western music, relies completely on the sound bank for actual rendering (you can't even set your own pixels on a sprite - you can only say "paint a Mario here"), relies in some places on vendor-specific extensions, overall really it hasn't aged as nicely as say TCP.

A true "SVG, but for music" kind of equivalent would be an insanely interesting and challenging project. I'm not even sure if it should strive for more of a middle ground (so it can gain widespread adoption), or for flexibility (so it doesn't constrain creativity and allows expressiveness).

Also check out: MIDI 2.0, OSC.

Last I checked that's what people told me I was looking for, but when I tried to find some implementation that worked with .js I was stumped...

MIDI is more analogous to a coloring book than SVG

Not all of the presented icon sets are Open-Sourced. Some are, some are free and for some you have to pay with information about you like your email address. So the title sounds nice but it is just wrong.

Another good usage for Stylus.

Plus it is not behind a pay wall.

I'm very happy with mu4e in combination with isync.

Didn't get any useful content. Goddesses bless script blockers.

Why Proton VPN and not something privacy friendly? As ProtonVPN like NordVPN is run by Tesonet is has the same issues.

Why does Mozilla trust in Tesonet and why should their users do?

http://vpnscam.com/heres-why-you-cant-trust-nordvpn-and-prot...

ProtonVPN is simply the best choice for a VPN if your goal includes anonymity / privacy; I place zero stock in this.

1. No other VPN that I'm aware of has any of its own data center infrastructure.

2. Even though ProtonVPN (and essentially all VPNs) works with untrustworthy companies like Leaseweb to provide many of their servers, SecureCore allows you to route traffic through their own data center infrastructure to another exit node server.

3. Public-facing CEO who has a verifiable history. You know his name, his face, he's given a talk. This helps with accountability.

I've said it before on HN and I'll say it again, their reply to this situation satisfied me completely, and nobody has said anything against this reply: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonVPN/comments/8ww4h2/protonvpn...

There is simply not a better option than ProtonVPN.

Yes, I sound like a shill, but the facts are still the facts.

Thank you for pointing on the post.

When will people stop dragging this bs article over the internet? There aren't any physical facts showing that ProtonVPN or NordVPN shouldn't be trusted! Only these false accusations spread by competitor troll band. Or are u one of them?

My best friend. She saw me being happy to use Linux and that I do everything on it she did on Windows before.

Of course it still needs an opened mindset to use Linux but its disadvantages in some use cases.

She is using OpenSuse.

For rendering HTML emails I use either shr or w3m. To get it more readable I make the text area smaller with writeroom-mode/olivetti-mode in the mu4e-view-mode-hook. But both modes apply just after opening an email a second time.

Do you have any hint?
