I selfhost DNS as well, but I just use plain old bind zone files and it works well enough across a bunch of domains (and RFC2136 for my dynamic IP at home) that I haven't bothered to look into database stored records. I just need to remember the pesky serial number so that the changes get properly replicated :)

Not the parent, but I've seen the movie and read the book. I think there are a few gaps in the movie that's explained by the book, but there are some artistic freedom as well between the book and the film.

I would recommend reading the book first at least.

But a copy of production data in the test environment isn't production data... It's test data! :)

It says cm, so centimeters (1/100 meter) - slightly less than 0.4 inches

decimal place issues... I hope.

there are ten mm in a cm

456cm == 4560mm

there are 24.5 mm per inch (it is the law).

4550mm / 25.4 = 179.527 inches

or about 14.9 feet

which is about 5 yards

which is 20% of a 'murican football field if that helps

The above comment was pointing out that each 1 centimeter is slightly less than 0.4 inches. If you want to be more precise, each centimeter is about 0.3937 inches.

Your correction to my perception of what you intended 0.4 inches to represent is accepted.

Really? I'd say image maps was the name I haven't heard in a long time... As in I read a couple of paragraphs before it dawned on me that it was _that_ type of image maps that post was about - I first thought it was something regarding rasterized maps (like OpenStreetMap or something)

Timers works fine.

Music - yes, albeit a bit finicky to set up.

There's an addon called Music Assistant that controls the music, you can connect it to your provider of choice (local files, Spotify, etc), and you can let it connect to several types of sinks.

OOB the HA only knows a few commands (pause, next, etc) but there are some community driven effort to improve the support, such as "Play the album Dark side of the moon". [0].

Thanks, good info. I read nothing about the multi-room-music-feature. Do you by chance know if it can be done?

Yes, there is functionality to create groups in music assistant. You can even create groups between different types of sinks (so you can combine say Chromecasts together with home assistants media player together with airplay). However, I have not played around with that too much so I don’t know how well the players will sync with each other.

Given the lawsuits against Google from Sonos in the last 5 years, it doesn't seem to be low hanging fruit. Might not exist yet.

We do have credit scoring, but I don’t think it is in the same sense as in the US though. If you look at ”your” UC (for example using the app Kreddy) you will get a credit score back.

I noticed, but everything is fine on https://portal.office.com/servicestatus

Who would have guessed? /s

I was using Spotify Beta way back when, and they absolutely had songs named like that as well. I specifically remember one of Pink Floyd's albums (pretty sure is was a copy of the wall) as such.

Same. My (fairly modern, ~3 yo?) Husqvarna only show lies; it can show seven minutes left for ~30 minutes and then go straight to 0.
